faith is responsive

I've had so much breakthrough in a few short amount of days and it's been attached to the directive + accountability with a prayer group I have joined where we pray in the spirit for an hour each day.

Those first 15 minutes of prayer are tough, and they feel as though they go by so slow, but once the stirring begins it seems like one hour of prayer is so minimal.

Eventually, I can feel the empowering grace of God to continue on which keeps me in a posture of humility; as I depend on Him AND partner with Him.

The bible instructs us to pray feverently. To pray fervently is to pray with intensity, fueled by the Holy Spirit.

I believe that our faith is partnered with instructions, both practical and spiritual.

The spiritual instruction is through fasting & prayer.

Esther fasted & prayed (Esther 4).

David fasted & prayed (2 Samuel 1:12).

The practical is 'going forth' in clear instructions. Much like we see this play out in Joshua where they marched around the Jericho walls 7 times(Joshua 6-7). This was a practical instruction although it looked foolish.

Faith is responsive, not reactive

Faith isn't just a belief but it's action as well.

Partnering with what God wants to do over your life requires downloads from Heaven and insight on how to overcome any obstacles in your way and the only way to burst through is by praying earnestly.

Faith being responsive rather than reactive means you are not responding to situations or challenges as they come; where you are driven by fear, uncertainty, or a knee-jerk reaction.

When faith is responsive, it is a more intentional, thoughtful, and grounded in the word way of living. It’s a faith that anticipates God’s guidance, that moves forward with trust, even before circumstances are fully understood.

Being responsive means we are in tune with God's direction, allowing our actions to align with His will, no matter the external circumstances.

This week, I hope you can challenge yourself to move beyond mere reactions to life’s circumstances and cultivate a faith that is responsive to God’s guidance.

I encourage you to spend time in prayer consistently, seeking His direction, and be ready to act with faith, just as Esther, David, and the Israelites did.
