rewriting history

"This time will be different."

That statement has been resounding in my belly for weeks.

I imagine there have been relationships, jobs, money, circumstances and opportunities that did not work out the way you thought they would.

But.

This time will be different.

Familiarity to what it's been in the past will not be your point of reference because,

This time will be different.

It could sound + look like:

I used to stay quiet. This time, I’m speaking up.

This time, it’s not about perfection. It’s about persistence.

Last time I came here, I was lost. This time, I know who I am.

Before, I was surviving. This time, I will thrive.

This time, I’m not looking for signs—I’m listening.

This isn’t a repeat. This is a reset.

I've broken the cycle. This is new territory now.

This time, I’m lead with clarity, not fear.

Before, I hoped. Now, I know.

This time, it’s about healing, not hustling.

Everything I went through brought me here. This time, I’m ready.

We’re not who we were. And that’s why it could work now.

Nothing will look the same.

And I truly believe this time for you will be different. Whatever that looks like for you.

We see this play out in the book of Joshua. The squad(Israelites) expected another easy victory in Joshua 7 and they go in with confidence but they were defeated unexpectedly. Joshua was confused and questioned what had caused the defeat.

God revealed the root and said, "Do not be afraid—go again." In which this time, they were conquerors.

THIS TIME WILL BE DIFFERENT.
