prayer points for unsaved loved ones

Without fully knowing it, I know I am not the only one with unsaved family members. 

Jesus had 'em, too. I know we sometimes like to believe that everyone will make it into Heaven, especially if they are a 'good person,' but that's not Bible. God's kingdom was built on justice and righteousness, which means He is a just God. He desires all of His children to be near Him, but most people reject Him. 

However, you have the power to stand in the gap for your unsaved family members. Salvation isn't just about Heaven, but it's also about being regenerated, walking in purpose, and delivered from cycles that keep people stuck + oppressed. We should desire that for everyone.

Prayer Points:

Pray for their hearts to be open. Ask God to soften their hearts and open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel. Pray against spiritual blindness. Decree: I break every chain of spiritual blindness over my family. I declare that the veil over their hearts is removed, and they receive the truth that sets them free. Scripture: “The god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ.” — 2 Corinthians 4:4

Ask God to send people, circumstances, or opportunities into their lives to help them encounter Jesus. 

Pray that the Spirit of God would convict them of their need for Jesus and draw them to Him.

 If there are any hurts, wounds, or past experiences hindering them from accepting Christ, ask God to bring healing to their hearts.  

Pray that God would help them overcome any pride, fear, or disbelief. 

Consult God on how you can be a witness to them whether through your actions, words, or prayers. Love them in truth and deed. 

Pray that God would protect them from harm and for them to experience the goodness of God in tangible ways. I declare that no weapon formed against my loved ones shall prosper. Satan’s plans to steal, kill, or destroy their souls are null and void. They are covered by the blood of Jesus. Scripture: “No weapon that is fashioned against you shall succeed.” — Isaiah 54:17 & “For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds.” — 2 Corinthians 10:4

Prayer for conviction and repentance- decree this over them: I decree that their hearts will be convicted of sin and they will be lead into genuine repentance. Lord, let your Holy Spirit move powerfully in their lives to bring transformation. Scripture: “When he comes, he will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment.” — John 16:8 & “Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out.” — Acts 3:19

Declare John 6:44 over them: “My unsaved family members(call them out by names) will be drawn unto Jesus and their hearts will be opened to the Gospel.”
